The Anarchist City: Institute for Spatial Thinking at gap’z, Zurich
Beatrice Fontana and Antonio Scarponi, co-founders of the Institute for Spatial Thinking, participated in “Die anarchistische Stadt: in Alternativen denken und handeln” (The Anarchist City: Thinking and Acting in Alternatives) at gap’z in Zurich on 30 September 2026.
The panel brought them together with Markus Schaefer of Hosoya Schaefer Architects and Philipp Meier of watson, formerly Cabaret Voltaire, for a discussion on alternative ways of thinking about and acting within the city.

The theme connects with a central concern of the Institute for Spatial Thinking: how spatial relationships shape possibilities for collective action, and how design can help people recognise and transform those relationships.
Held at Klaus’ Feierabend-Bar, the discussion concluded the gap’z talk programme.
